Sign Ideas & Display
I noticed a lot of great signs Saturday, most way more elaborate than mine. So honestly I post this due to a feeling of sign jealousy!!!
Here's a thread to suggest slogans, design styles, or just to show off your sign making skills to the 99%.
As creator of this thread, I ask for civilized suggestions only. Anything extremely violent or hateful is susceptible to removal by myself or other admins.

Ok, I'll start!
Draw Congress building and the white house in similar fashion to the golden arches of McD's.
'Your Government: Proud to serve [approximate # of the 1%]'
Parody of McD's street sign of course.
Or how about an elephant and donkey fighting/debating on a stage set on a map of the nation. The rest of the nation filled with something symbolic of the 99% griefs? Perhaps forclosed houses, or 'no longer hiring' signs. The idea being that the partisanship conflict is helping no one. Flip side could have the animals realizing their folly some how.

http://progressivebumperstickers.com/cgi-bin/liberal/bumperstickers2.pl?search=corporationsdb&PerPage=20&Start=40 This site has really good slogans and since they are bumper sticker the are short enough to put on signs.

What was the break-even point?
Isn’t this why we were taught the importance of Back-End Analysis?
About Time for Some Back-End Analysis!
We can’t rewrite history, but we can look back at our mistakes.
My last job paid me $??,??? a year. Technology is so much cheaper these days.
The LUST of money is the root of all kinds of evil. St. Timothy 6:10
Will work for food, shelter or cash under the table!

I made a sign and a T-shirt I will be wearing on Sat. The sign is 2 sided and has different things on it. It would be hard to explain. There is sort of a rough draft of one side on the art page. I have a ton of ideas and slogans and all, but we can't seem to get an art department going. There were 2 of us discussing, but then the other asked me if I could head it up. I do not have the time. I can contribute, but I can't run it.

Suggest that we look at getting political buttons, or badges that just say: I'm the 99%. The reason for the badges is that they can be a conversation starter. It's a way of creating awareness about corporate and political greed. The badges, when worn, can go anyplace a human can go, to school, to church etc.

I wish I had made a t-shirt to wear to the film festival tonight! Someone could make money on re-purposing second-hand shirts and make them affordable or available for a donation. Just thinking.

William, are you coming to the Art Team meeting in Memorial park on Friday at 5 pm?
Were you one of the stack speakers we were trying to squeeze in between Team Business last Saturday?
Peace,
Debbie

I agree buttons would be a good idea
I think buttons or something we can wear around would be great...we should have a logo that we can put on everything.

I am getting out my screen printing stuff soon, depending on how the ink is, many years old, I may be a position to make some stuff fo freez! It's pretty easy to make screens, again, being cheap I go ghetto and use nylon curtain fabric, used to be super cheap. Slice up some 2x4's into 1x1's staple, staple, staple, and done!

"Corporations are not people"
"If you're not angry, you're not paying attention"
"Our Democracy is not for sale!"
"People over profits"
"The revolution will NOT be televised!"
"Americans are getting screwed more in the BOARDROOM than in the bedroom!"
"First they ignore you.
Then they laugh at you.
Then they fight you.
THEN YOU WIN. -Ghandi"
"Job cuts don't heal"
"We the people for the people by the people"
