Well how come you didn't stomp a mudhole in that garbage mouth Dinahmoe's post? Is it OK to call someone an 'asshole' as long as they're a conservative?

hmm.. see, I read it differently.. seems to me he was just making a point. He put your quote about you getting thrown off the forum.
He stated that he was all for the whole F you get out kind of thing that you had mentioned, because it does not move a discussion forward. He then stated that there are plenty of places on the net for as.holes and this is not one of them. It sounded like he used to term in general to get a point across.. he didn't come out and say you are an as.hole. Maybe you took it wrong. Or maybe I did. I have no problem admitting I don't really know. Typing does not make it easy to get things across some times.
In any case. We were all called wining brats. And maybe you were called an as.hole. I think in the grand scheme of things we will all live. And I did not gripe or make a big deal about being called names. I simply stated that I didn't get any kind of "message" that you where talking about and the name calling didn't seem the way to go if he was actually trying to get some sort of constructive message across.
And I'm not a conservative. I'm not a Dem. I am not some road with only two sides. I have many sides, and they are all on the side of the people. The 99%.
Just breath..

Give me a break. I'm not one of your malodorous morons. She clearly implied I was an asshole...a hell of a lot more strongly than the implication of the term, 'whiny brats'.

Let me make it clear. There are several people on this forum who ARE 'whiny brats'. At least one is a foul-mouthed little brat with a pronounced disciplinary deficit disorder.

And the rest of you obviously either agree with their immature and inconsiderate acting out or you don't have the integrity or the courage to squelch it and restore the spirit of free debate this forum promises.

Your colors are beginning to show.

Iron man, I've never had a student loan at all! But I hate that we are requiring college educations for positions I finessed my way into without an AA degree. I saved up a bunch of the currency I accumulated working hard and very successfully in 4 of the major corporations in Jax. Independent Life (local corp., bought out by AG), SafeCard (local, defunct), Ideon (local, defunct), and most recently at Winn Dixie (local). I was a cog in the giant wheel, whose job made some of my peers cry occasionally. It was fulfilling because I could positively influence my company's bottom-line everyday I worked. I have always been proud to pay the taxes needed to run my nation and city. I'm done. I've carved out a niche I'm proud of. I will be able to make a difference, make currency whether it is money or not. I've had to use much of the currency I accumulated to get by while raising my son and taking care of myself during times of unemployment. I did invest. I did all the things that my daddy told me to. I was a proud American (except how we've treated or indigenous people, the mentally ill, supported an ineffective taxing and public education systems, etc).
I do not want the government's help. I'll be fine. My mama is a master gardener and my brother is a gator hunter. (You think I'm kidding.) My family will be fine. We got some dawg in us. We were raised hearing the stories of the meals my mother's family had to eat during the depression. My granddaddy was a Southern Baptist preacher in the 30s - 70s. Journalists have been saying double-dip recession. I'm trying to find out, at what point is it deemed a depression. All of my grandparents would be very proud of the patriotism I'm displaying on their behalf. My daddy is. He served 25 years in the service and dragged my ass all over this globe.
Debt forgiveness???? One of the major local corporations I worked for started marketing credit cards too college kids all over the country. I knew then we were being screwed and liking it. I knew the generation at school then had grown up lavishly and with little self control. I knew what our major clients (i.e. Texaco, Chase) were doing. It was transparent. Gave me the creeps. I was also personally responsible for millions (I now am embarrassed to say how many) pieces of direct mail each year. I'm ashamed. I did make enough currency to put my daughter in private high school (a yucky church-based institution), and raise two children on a living wage. Then the banks told us refinance, refinance, refinance. And some people did.
How can you not know anyone who is not struggling financially. I know many people in my town. I know a restaurant owner whose family makes a living-wage. Oh, yeah, and a lawyer "friend" of mine. (He knows I love him, but he is the meanest friend I've ever had). Sure, my circle of friends may not look like yours, but I bet it's bigger.
Unions, illegals and WASP slackers have not been effective. But we will. Peace will birth the renaissance. Glad you checked in.

Peace out,
Debbie

ironhorzmn,

You seem only to be stuck on fighting about a few very small (in the scheme of things)things here. I'm sorry you yell about seeing the other side of things, then call me a liar because I read over something quikly and it sounded different to me.
10 people could read or see the same exact thing and all 10 could come away with a different version.
But, this has not been constructive. I thought perhaps you really where here to have some sort of discussion (and yes, even a different point of view) on the actual topic here. But you seem to be stuck on the back and forth and the accussing of this or that, or that you just keep feeling attacked. Yet you seem to not notice that we could say the same at the first few condescending posts. In any case.
It is obvious that I was wrong and you do not want to discuss the larger matters at hand. That is of course your choice, but I have many other obvious matters to tend to. So I say goodbye and I wish you much happiness in all of your life indeavors.

Security - everyone read - Page 2 Empty Re: Security - everyone read

Post by ironhorzmn Wed Oct 26, 2011 2:13 pm

This IS the larger matter.

OWS reminds me of a bunch of disgruntled Budweiser employees agitating for Prohibition.

The Occupiers want to bring the entire capitalist system crashing down with absolutely no clue about how to replace it; or their 'replacement' is the same totalitarian collectivist socialist tyranny which has murdered and enslaved hundreds of millions of people throughout history.

There is nothing new under the sun.

The blind rage, class and ethnic hatred expressed by many OWS protestors is indistinguishable from the 'sans-culottes' of Robespierre's 'Reign of Terror', Stalin's Bolsheviks, Mao's 'Red Guards' or Pol Pot's murderers. And all these tyrannies have utterly collapsed with the murders of some 100 million of their own citizens, including many who originally brought the terror into existence.

Those Occupiers who are not as vicious still view Wall Street through not a prism...but a mirror. Envy, covetousness and a continuously reinforced sense of entitlement combine to agitate ceaselessly for more and more punitive taxes and restrictions on legitimate businesses.

Who will impose this retaliation? The State, of course. The State has always held the power to reward and punish economic activity. But its bureaucrats and politicians are only human, eager to be corrupted by the protection money corporations offer in the form of campaign cash, trips, perks and occasionally outright bribery. This will never change.

The problem is Washington's arbitrary and capricious ability to cripple businesses with crushing regulations...then sell exemptions from them.

(Obamacare comes to mind. There are between one and two thousand separate waivers granted by HHS to certain favored businesses, unions and organizations. Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will not release public records on those whose waiver requests were denied.)

Yet the Occupiers would grant Washington even more power to punish and reward at their own discretion and their own benefit.

It's a tragic farce that a Communist dictatorship is more attractive to businesses today than a capitalist economy.

And it's an even more tragic joke that otherwise intelligent people allow themselves to be played by hardened Stalinist agitators like Bill Ayers and Barack Obama.

You know, McDonalds lets you use the bathroom for free, but that doesn't mean you can leave an upperdecker for the next guy to see. Your posts add nothing to progress. Your posts are not in the appropriate place. You are insulting, and you seem to want to dish it out, but get all "whiny" if it comes back to bite you your on tiny dick.

So, you want to fight. Typical! The answer to everything is war, you know some people can actually think and reason. You are the 99%, we are fighting for you and your failed policies.

You're welcome!

'Tiny dick'. That's two personal attacks from you so far. You're turning out to be quite the hypocrite here.

All I've gotten from you instead of 'discussion' is profanity, personal attacks, and attempts to silence me. You're the one who doesn't belong here, not me.

Who said 'fight'? All I want to do is to give you the opportunity to put your foot where your mouth is. I'm not worried about 'fighting' because you're far too cowardly to say to me in person what you're posting here.

And, BTW, where are the moderators on this forum? Do you approve of this kind of behavior?

You're no better than this guy is.

I'm done here. I set out to expose the intolerance, aggressive ignorance and idiocy of the average Occupier as well as their hostility and hypocrisy.

I've succeeded beyond my wildest dreams. Someday some of you will be able to look back at these posts and cringe at your arrogance; just as I have had to in my lifetime.

I hope you fail. You better hope so, too.

hmm.. reasonable and respectable???

You listen, and obviously give creed to what Rush Limbaugh says.. That takes reasonable and respectable off the table all by it's self.

I second that whole statement!

Explain to me please what do all conservative have up their ass that makes them so angry and snippy all the time? I love a good debate but they never have one, only crude remarks...which shows they have no real point.
