main page suggestion

a gentleman just emailed me (because he found my email in the newsfeed) with a similar concern to what i was thinking last night - the main tumblr feed is mixing up important local upcoming info that needs to get out with past events and stuff from other cities, making it kind of inefficient for getting the information you are looking for (like when our next event is or when a group is meeting). maybe there should be a separate space for dates/times/announcements and another for sharing photos and things?
