General assembly meeting Saturday 10/8/11

This is a general assembly meeting to discuss the occupation of Jacksonville, Florida. Bring your ideas,signs and a friend. Spread the word! How long it will last depends on you!

Why do we need to bring signs? This is a meeting to discuss future protests...right?

I have not exactly got a bead on what is happening Sat. 8th either. There was a link given on FB that was to give more info, but it would not work for me. I commented on it, but have not heard anything yet. The only info on the Occupy Together Jax site, is the general location and time. Maybe we can post more details here on the forums?

so there's the facebook page, this forum, and also an occupy together jax site? i'm new here, and can't seem to find information on exactly where and when the meeting is. it says southside on the 8th, but where in southside and at what time? i'd love to be there and help anyway i can.

regarding JSO, almost 50 police officers got laid off this week due to budget cuts. They can sympathize with us for sure

Im wondering why my posts were all deleted ??? Did i do something against your rules ? Or did i speak my mind to freely ?? Ill be there saturday but for REAL reasons , ask yourself if you will be there for those same reasons or is it merely a image you would like portrayed of yourself ? I think it is sad that you felt the need to remove every post i made and block any further posts. Block me in person......

People need to be prepared to buy something from a business in the area. So as to not be loitering !

Isn't that ironic? Having a gathering protesting the effects of greed on our government and society, and we have to purchase something so we don't get arrested for peacefully gathering...

Well purchasing from a local restraunt boost our economy. Just refuse to buy from mcdonalds or burgerking!

I can dedicate alot of time there, though some days I would have to come and go due to work/ other obigations. ALSO: Can we do fundraising raising funds as well as supplies for the ppl on wallstreet and then send it up to NYC? I planned on doing it on my own but with the group tomorrow it would be much better.

I plan on it , in order for this to work it has to be done. nationwide !
