GA timing
I would like to suggest that at the future events we have GA BEFORE the People's Soap Box.
The number of people who stayed for the GA today was less than a half of those who were there at the beginning... If we want as many people involved in the decision making process, we might want to have that first.
I guess it depends on what is our priority, no?

Agreed. From the looks of it, a lot of people seem to leave after the march. Not so much the soapbox.

That is something to consider, yeah. I'm not sure. Some people just want a place to yell about how mad they are. I'd love to get those people involved to actually make a difference. This will require consideration. I believe it should be proposed at the next GA... is that ironic?

Yea, not everyone has all day. I think the GA is probably the most important thing. Then the soapbox, then marching. My two friends had their first occupy event and they had to leave before we got to the GA.

Precisely. Get to business, then hear speakers right before the march right to pump people up.

i say outreach before business...which is why i have advocated soap box & marching before GA...that way we don't lose folks that are attending for the first time due to confusion/boredom with the process before we get a chance to get them fired up/involved...
