Recommendations or physical literature?

Post by geekycrafter on Mon Oct 17, 2011 11:47 pm

I have a quick question. How is the occupy library going to function? Is this a place to recommend authors/literature or are we looking to bring together a community library at events where people can exchange something physical?

I was hoping that this Saturday just be an introduction and brainstorming sesh on what we each have, how to set up, how in depth we want the library to be etc. Eventually we want to have a check-out system available to those want to read the books in depth on their own. As far as what to bring, I've been telling people to bring any media (books, zines, movies, blogs, etc.) that have inspired them to join the movement. I'm also hoping to collect any leftover pamphlets/info collected from the other teams to keep on hand for future reference.

Sorry that I didn't read your post until now. My computer time is sporatic at the moment.

Are you going to be at the next occupy meeting this saturday? I would like to hear more about what everyone talked about/decided on.

I missed today due to a couple of birthday parties. Heard it was a great Rally. Have you secured a team mate? I am usually available and can make time for you anytime. I have seen people sending you suggestions for digestible media. How does that work for you. Did you have a table yesterday?
