Invention, Innovation and Investment

Along with removing the connection of Wall Street banks from our government, one of the top priorities OccupyJax should consider is the push for invention, innovation and investment in 'alternative' energy. This has been a major global issue for decades but always has been blocked by the same connection banks have in our government. Being one of the largest cities by area, all Jacksonville citizens are among the 99% hit hardest by big oil companies. It is time we ween ourselves from oil altogether.

Ideas for creating free, internet based, open source solutions should be first and foremost.

But I see no reason we couldn't start working with local transport and trying to improve public transportation. God knows it could ALWAYS get better!

Eventually moving on to weening ourselves from fossil fuels and to the sun and wind and other new technologies that we come up with.
