Hey everyone I'm Sean, a philosophy major at UNF, and I am very interested in participating in this movement. I hope that Jacksonville will be able to form a cohesive and structured branch and that we can get past much of this southern conservative ideology in order to make a lasting change.

Hopefully I can use my philosophy skills in some way or another for this! Nice to meet you.

I did find several sites before I found this one, like the news sites, which reported on the occupy jax and al most every comment was about people wanting to come protest the protest! Yes, jax is full of biggots and rednecks who just can't seem to see that they are the 99% allowing themselves to be trampled because of their ignorance...

On many of the boards and discussions I have been seeing around FB and forums there seems to be a lack of understanding that this movement is not a left or right issue. It is not a Democrat or Republican issue. The media can't understand because it does not fit their narrow definition of what a democratic movement looks like. The politicians are quick to try to ignore it. The banks want this movement hidden. The truth is, they fear this. They fear what they don't understand. Just like the French and American Revolutions the powers that be just can't fathom that the masses don't want to continue with the status quo. This is a financial revolution. The government has nothing to do with it. We are throwing off the yoke of our Feudalistic Capitalist Kings and Queens.
