If you want to volunteer as a medic, you must have some kind of first aid training, and you must have the documentation to go with it. We have to be legit about this, and I need to know who can provide what services.
ALWAYS stay within your field of practice. I know it sucks, and I know a lot of us have learned other skills. But, Florida has strict laws, and we need to abide by them for our own sake and the sake of the cause.
If you have no training but you're still interested, I'd recommend starting with the red cross. If you take their first aid and cpr classes, you're well on your way.
So, upon contacting me, give me your name, qualifications, and contact info. On Saturday, be sure to bring all documentation of your training.
