I'm still waiting to hear back from the 3 NLG lawyers. But, hopefully, we'll be able to work something out for free counsel in case people end up getting arrested during the march. That way they're not stuck with Public Pretenders who will only cooperate with prosecutors.

I'm hoping that they can help me with researching local ordinances as well. I don't have much local experience when it comes to protesting. I've mainly been handling the Federal aspect of things (as I'm sure some of you are aware).

I'll update this post when I have more information...

Well, I FINALLY got a call back from the NLG... the day before the GA

They told me the Gainesville chapter will probably be willing to help. And said it'd be best for someone with legal experience to call them... so I'll be passing their info onto Graham here in a bit.

Edit: Graham said it probably won't be necessary contacting them just yet. But it's good to know we have their support if things do start to get crazy. We just need to keep things peaceful, which has been our plan all along any ways; and we should be alright.

Got another call from the NLG about 30mins ago. They called to inform me that Alistair McKenzie, a lawyer out of Pensacola, has offered us his assistance. Going to be calling him here in a few minutes to see what exactly he can help us with (besides pro-bono representation)
