I've been optimistic regarding this Occupy Wall Street phenomenon because I've had a feeling the inspiration came from Dr. Gene Sharp. I was hoping to find words from him regarding such but instead I just found a somewhat older video with Q&A regarding uprisings in news. This video is called We the people - Dr Gene Sharp at Zeitgeist Americas 2011.

The use of non violent struggle in major conflicts has been expanding in recent decades as has the knowledge of how to make it effective. New publications have helped this development with virtually no promotion. My From Dictatorship to Democracy, a generic examination of how non violent struggle can destroy a dictatorship is now in 34 languages. The Arab Spring and other developments demonstrate that the genie is out of the bottle. It cannot be put back again.
Then one day I found a photo at Liberty Square on day 4 of the protest showing a copy of A Conceptual Framework for Liberation.
