Its like a war zone there. I cant believe the force that is being used against these non-violent protesters.

More violence is being used against the protesters as they try and take back the square.

then that martyr will end up being the rallying call for this to explode

same thing happened a few years back in Iran..the young female protester Neda was shot at a rally and died right in front of her father and some cameras..she instantly became the face of the protest

Didn't the guy set himself on fire in tunisia in protest of police corruption? Either way I agree something is going to happen that will wake up the remaining 99%

They look to be meeting up at the Main Library now. In a way this is very good. it will get us in the media. As long as we can focus on the Police being the aggressors. We need the government to start spending $$$$ on having the police out all the time. Eventually the $$$ will start to run low and then i think there will be some changes. Hopefully for the good, but hard to say. At the same time it keeps more people employed and some of the 99% will be making at aleast lol.

^ defence does not need to be in the form of direct violence
simply preparedness for the violent situation to arise is all you need

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I am for non-violence but at the same time I can't agree with Protesters being expected to let themselves or others be beaten by police without having a right to defend themselves.

It's a tricky slope. My mother who has always been against ALL violence for any reason just told me (thanks to FOX news) that these protesters are getting what they deserve b/c they are breaking the law!! I died inside a little. They were able to warp my peace loving Mother!!
