one of which was a group not about educating people, but about discussing necessary changes in the field of education, I was just inquiring as to the status of that.

Did we decide to do that in this forum, and if so, may I change the description of this group to match?

Squeoo, You took my thoughts out of my head. We need a team to guide us with both. I first thought it was to facilitate education for public and Occupy members of expectations and any collateral that will cut down on the confusion we are encountering. We need that now. Library Girl may want to blend with this type of education team. i think there may be a fit. What should we call it? How should we propose splitting this team? Should be post a poll for a vote? Maybe someone will see this post and advise us.

The Education & Empowerment working group is to facilitate education of members and nonmembers (through teach-ins, printed and web educational material, a People's Library etc.) and to bring attention to issues affecting the education system (high school and college.) These two are not mutually exclusive, and because of the huge overlap I think they should be two aspects of the same group. For example, I'm a college student, and both of my parents are teachers. I am very interested in organizing teach-ins and also helping reform the education system. I don't see the point in two separate groups.

There would be a huge overlap in the information. The were at least two OWS info documents distributed. Both were good. There was one that was folded up and another that was a short sheet.
I'm all for limiting the number of groups. As long as everyone is satisfied with the scope of the teams responsibility and the overlapping of tasks.

I'm gonna shut-up. I'm preaching to the choir. Thanks for everybody's diligence for the cause!
