How can the 99 % occupying each city also be going off to shop at target, walmart, publix, winn-dixie, etc and be buying gas from these same corps that are stealing from us and controlling our government?! We need to spread the message of boycotting these places as well because that will do more damage than protesting and being ignored all the while. BOYCOTT BIG CORPORATIONS! SUPPORT LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES!

We need to urge every one of the 99% to do this. It will be difficult at times but the best way to cripple the criminals in control of the wealth is to stop giving them more money! STOP CONSUMING! START BEING SUSTAINABLE! BOYCOTT BIG CORPORATIONS! SUPPORT LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES!

LOVE YOU ALL!

Well, tbh, it's not hard. Despite the fact that some of these corps suck, my shopping there has nothing to do with being a consumer. It's about being a provider and stretching my dollar. I have a family to support. Local shopping is nice, but not cheap. Local businesses have fallen into a trap of believing they are better quality simply by being local and I've found that is rarely the case, or they serve a niche product, like recently roasted coffee beans.

Secondly, a great deal of these small businessmen/women are just as right wing as there big business counterparts. At least with big business, you know who your money is going to.

And lastly, we're not trying to burn the whole system down. We just want fairness and accountability. I have no problem with the continued existence of Walmart. I just want them to be forced to pay a living wage and provide decent benefits to its employees.

I might not like the corruption of "Big Pharma," but if I didn't accept their products in my life I would be totally disabled and maybe dead in 10 years. I don't like the business practices of chain retailers but if I only shopped at the farmers' market I literally wouldn't have enough food for myself. I don't have a horse and buggy so I'd need to buy gasoline in order to get to that farmers' market anyway. And so on.

So, we aren't stupid, it's just that living off-the-grid isn't practical for a lot of our lives. That doesn't mean we can't press for sensible regulation of those corporations.

What the corps, their CEOs and their controlling shareholders will not allow to become part of the national dialog is that corporations needn't be FOR-profit. In all industries, some morph of the non-profit structure with their charter being dependant upon its benefit to the PEOPLE, the greed factor could be disabled.

It is also important to note that the group as a whole as not fully committed to any one action other than just getting together and organizing.

Any other action will then be decided on by the group. We have no solutions yet. Only 99% of the worlds knowledge. Smile
